Vital Minds Initiative Uganda was represented at the 11th Annual Adolescent Health Conference held on 11th–12th November 2025 at Golden Tulip Canaan Kampala by our Founder, Alex Ssekabembe.
The conference was organized by The Society of Adolescent Health in Uganda with support from Columbia University, Jeffrey Modell Foundation, and Global Education Network and Information Exchange. The event brought together health professionals, researchers, youth advocates, development partners, and organizations working to improve adolescent health and wellbeing across Uganda.
Under the theme “Adolescent Health: Fostering Wellness Through Collaborations,” discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and collective action in addressing the mental, social, and health challenges affecting adolescents and young people today.
Through participating in the conference, Vital Minds Initiative Uganda engaged in important conversations around mental health, psychosocial support, youth wellbeing, and community-based interventions. The event also provided an opportunity to connect with like-minded organizations and professionals committed to advancing adolescent health in Uganda.
As an organization, we remain committed to contributing to spaces that promote learning, collaboration, and practical solutions that improve the wellbeing of young people and communities.
