Recognizing the intense occupational stress borne by frontline healthcare professionals, Vital Minds Initiative Uganda successfully rolled out an intensive institutional mental health and reflective workshop for 53 staff members at Sebbi Hospital on 15th April 2026. The interdisciplinary cohort included Nursing Officers, Midwives, Lab Technicians, Dentists, Medical Officers, and critical administrative staff.

The specialized curriculum navigated through two vital phases: Awareness (headlined by the restorative Mirror Hug self-compassion exercise) and Integration (guiding clinicians to seamlessly synthesize medical logic with deep emotional empathy). The training culminated in the Head, Heart, and Hand integration exercise, prompting participants to lock in actionable commitments like strategic tech boundaries, short regular pauses, and emotional de-escalation methods.

The event was further supported by Psalms Food Industries Limited, who contributed premium Salt & Vinegar Crisps to enhance engagement. VMI remains committed to extending this critical workplace wellness program across healthcare institutions nationwide.
